With a team functioning within this type of environment, very special achievements will be happening all the time, some small, some big. These achievements will provide the ‘kicks’ for the team and should be used often to bring team members together to reinforce project goals and recognise everyone’s contribution. Individual contribution to success should only be recognised if the whole group has initiated it. It may encourage internal competition, which is usually damaging.

When we compare ourselves to perfection, we will often find ourselves lacking – we therefore have to set intermediate goals and celebrate when we achieve them.
